Permit required Cleveland National Forest San Diego County, California Seasonal Flow The video above is of, one of San Diego County's true gems, lovely Cedar Creek Falls, on Cedar Creek, within the Cleveland Forest. This is mostly a seasonal fall and whether it is flowing or not is completely up to rain conditions. Due to a recent tragic death, you may be required now to apply for a permit before hiking into the falls. Before The Cedar Creek fire the pool at the base use to be quite deep. After the fires the pool filled with mud and became extremely shallow, it is slowly becoming deeper as the years pass by. This beautiful falls can change it's look depending upon the amount of water that is feeding it. |
The Above Video is after the 2003 Cedar Creek Fire, The falls were in the vicinity of ground zero for the fire.
