Happy's Museum
Private Property can be seen from Hwy 80
,it houFirst off this is not The happy from Mountain Springs Area, there seems to be at least three Happy's in the area. This one is Happy Sharpe a former fur trapper. This would be the one that was in multiple Desert Magazine Accounts. he would comb the surrounding area for artifacts for his museum. The museum feature artifacts from his trapping days as well as a large quantity of native american he amassed in his exploring days.
The Museum was built around the mid 1930 and as you can see is still there alongside Hwy 80. Happy was also known to have a pot of beans for guests and travelers, I have been told when people would travel on foot to Jacumba for The Saturday Dance , They would stop off at happies for some beans
